The Walcote Practice Becomes a Medical Specialist Skin Centre
The Walcote Practice is proud to announce the launch of our new private medical Specialist Skin Service, provided by our new Specialist Doctor In Dermatology, Dr Annabel Freeborough MBChB BSc MRCGP PGCert DPD.
Dr Freeborough brings to The Walcote Practice a wealth of specialist experience in undertaking specialist skin checks and in managing a wide variety of short and long term skin conditions including:
- concerning skin lesions
- skin cancers
- psoriasis
- eczema
- acne and/or rosacea
- sun damaged skin
- blistering disorders
- dermatitis
- rashes
- skin infections
- …and more
As there is typically a long wait in the local area to see a Specialist Dermatologist for management of such skin conditions, we hope that this new service at The Walcote Practice will offer patients a welcome, helpful and timely private option for expert care.
Dr Freeborough has provided Specialist dermatology medical care for adults and children in both community and hospital settings for over a decade, and she holds a distinction in the Post Graduate Diploma In Dermatology. She stays abreast of all the latest developments in this nuanced field and offers the most up to date medical advice and treatment.
Dr Freeborough takes a sensitive approach to patients and understands that skin issues can cause concern, impact upon health, adversely affect self-esteem and limit your usual activities. She enjoys making a positive difference to patients and she looks forward to assisting you with your skin concerns.
Depending upon individual patient needs, Dr Freeborough will be working alongside our experienced GPs who run our existing private minor surgery service, thereby enabling The Walcote Practice to offer a comprehensive service to patients as a private medical Specialist Skin Centre.
